Help Keep the Music Coming

There are a number of different ways you can support the Affiliated Choruses of Ithaca.

• You can become a singer in one of our choruses and enjoy learning and performing diverse music genres.  Our choruses are non-auditioned and anyone may become a singer with us.  Check out the opportunities at our “Join” page:  https://acithaca.org/joinpage/

• You can make a charitable donation to support our chorus programs.

The Affiliated Choruses of Ithaca (ACI) is the umbrella organization for four choruses, which together span all ages and genres of vocal music.  The choruses are open to everyone, without audition. Our funding comes from singer registrations or dues, concert ticket sales, grants and donations.  Volunteers manage all the choruses and the administration of ACI.  Our music directors and accompanists are contracted for their services.

Even with such a large volunteer force, there is a significant need for supportive funding.  We rely on your generous donations to help us cover our operating costs for music, musicians, directors, accompanists, rehearsal and performance space, website maintenance, and insurance as well as much-needed scholarships.

The Affiliated Choruses of Ithaca is a 501(C)(3) Not-for-Profit Corporation and donations made to us may qualify as a tax-exempt expense depending on the individual’s filing status for Federal and State income taxes.

Please consider donating in any amount.  Donations may be made to an individual chorus or as a general donation and may be made for more than one selection.  General donations are shared equally by all choruses.

Donations may also be made for the Gibbons Scholarship Fund.  The Gibbons Scholarship was established in 2001 to honor the choruses’ founding director, Paul Gibbons, and to provide one or more promising high school voice students with the means for musical training.
